I haven’t written on here in a long time. I have so many stories about the girls in my head but I haven’t been able to get them out. I’ve had a block. After the last post, I decided to spend time with Freddie and then she was gone. As anyone who has owned Guinea pigs knows that they need a friend. Henrietta was sad so I got Harriet. She was the prettiest guinea pig in the shop. This was during the time of the pandemic and I said I’ll never get a pet from a pet shop but it was my only option. Harriet spent the evening humping Henri who was 4 years old at the time. Then she was ill for a while. I had to give her meds, wash her and bandage her up. I’m writing about this because I’m back to giving meds to Harriet knowing that she hasn’t got much time left on this earth. She’s a scamp and a menace to society but I love her. It took a while to bond with her but we are friends now.
Between loosing Freddie and now on the verge of loosing Harriet, Henri and Annie have also gone. It goes to show that they aren’t here for a long time but they do take up a big piece of my heart. Some how during this sad time the writers block has gone and I want to write about these funny little creatures that all have different personalities. I have an adorable pair that I call the Wig Sisters but I’ll leave their introduction for another day. I will be back very soon.
